Velvet High
The Band
The band was formed in 2015 in London. All the members attend the same school, which has an inspiring music and drama department.

Marti is the lead singer, Oliver, the lead guitarist, Lukas the bassist/2nd guitar and Cameron the drummer.
​
The band honed its craft doing covers of Nirvana and Oasis. They have gained confidence doing street guerilla gigs in London to raise cash for charities or buying new instruments.
​
They decided while holidaying together that they should start writing and performing their own songs.
​
They released their first single Three Blue Star Fish in October 2019 and will release their second one Tasteless in November 2019.
They are working on several other songs, which they plan to release before they sit their GCSEs.
Cameron
Drummer
Cameron has been playing drums since the age of 11. He is an avid listener of Arctic Monkeys. He is involved in the school's music department and is in the band which plays for all the musicals staged by the school.
Lukas
Bass/2nd Guitar
Lukas plays bass in the band. He is a talented guitarist and also a singer. He has been playing the guitar and bass since the age of 10. He is very involved with the school music department and he plays in the school orchestra for the musicals.
Marti
Lead Singer
Marti has been performing since the age of 5.   He spends most of his free time composing and singing.  His favourite bands are Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Queen and Audioslave.  He has featured in plays staged at the Queen Elizabeth and Royal Festival Hall. Marti plays the trumpet, but
as he cannot fully combine it with singing, he is learning keyboard and bass.
Oliver
Lead Guitarist
Oliver's focus was initially on football and later skateboarding. With his younger brother he founded Dirty Dog Skate, which sales skate boards, T-shirts and hoodies in London skate parks. He is multi-instrumentatist and he spends most of his free time composing. He was born in July 2004.
